Sin embargo, se calculaque s\u00f3lo una mujer consigue un puesto de trabajo en los campos STEM por cada cuatro hombres, lo quecontribuye a una mayor desigualdad econ\u00f3mica en la sociedad. A pesar de los esfuerzos por reducir lasdiferencias entre hombres y mujeres en las \u00e1reas STEM, en casi todos los pa\u00edses del mundo siguen existiendovac\u00edos en los distintos niveles de educaci\u00f3n y de carrera profesional. Estas brechas se observanen todas las etapas del ciclo vital, desde la escuela primaria hasta el lugar de trabajo y los puestos de liderazgo.<\/p>\n<p>Este\u00a0 documento presenta los resultados\u00a0 de un estudio exhaustivo sobre elcontexto de las mujeres y lasni\u00f1as en STEM de toda Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe\u00a0 revisando y recopilandolas investigaciones y datos existentes en un solo informe.
